World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The upgrade of an item lets players increase an item's gear rating up 700 points, and then add a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you take them to the kiln.
Certain items can be upgraded to increase their stats (like an ideally rolled breakpoint armour used in melee PvP) while other items, such as weapons do not vary greatly post upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats such as the chance to crit, attack damage as well as PvE and damage from PvP. They also have a flat bonus which increases the damage they deal per second. Some weapons also have an unaffected bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are equipped in a single unit. This bonus may exceed the damage that an upgrade alone can cause.
The cost of upgrading a weapon's capabilities is contingent on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For example, an +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will continue to rise until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the number will be reset to one.
Upgrades to weapons will also change the stats of the base. This is generally a positive factor, but it could also have negative effects. In the case of items that are only used in a certain build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs, for instance) upgrading them could render them unusable unless you happen to have an extremely fortunate roll.
It is possible to upgrade armor items to boost their stats. For instance, if you have chests or helms it will boost the defense of its base, while gloves and belts will increase their strength and dexterity. Armor also offers the option of rerolling its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it may change its roll to a lower value.
The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading, as well as the values of these stats. This means that a weapon will gain 33% attack damage when it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% difference doesn't mean that it will strike for 3 times less often, since it is an absolute statistic.
Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button within the item menu with the arrows that are circling. The item will be rerolled and change its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's level or connect to the status of your account.
Armor
Adding a few upgrades to your armor can make a a huge difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets offer massive increases in resistance to curses, poisons, fire, and magic. This can make it easier to get through difficult terrains. Generally speaking, the more defense your character has, the more value you get out of each point of health and it's crucial to improve your armor as much as you can.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four fountains in all and each one requires you to complete a specific side quest that involves the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've completed the main quest and the associated fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.
The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor is different. In general, you'll need at anything from three to five Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the initial upgrade, then anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. The Champion Leathers, as an example, can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which allows you to keep up in frigid environments with a lot of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded to +20 defense, which means you can survive a raid with your comrades.
Be aware that armor can't be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll have to focus on upgrading it for physical power if you're Warrior or Spell Power in the case of Mage. It is also recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you'll still wear at the end of the story, for example the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
You can also unlock some benefits to your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. You'll typically want to keep these upgrades for the weapon that you'll use to win the game. For example, the Longsword or Battleaxe. It's nevertheless beneficial to have a few upgrades to the chest armor and helmets to allow you to escape some monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the player, provide the player with a temporary effect. There are five different types of potions, each having particular effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, enhancing their effectiveness. Additionally the effects of certain potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust to them.
Potion upgrades cost a certain amount of XP, which can be earned by crafting them using a craft table or in the chest of the Alchemist. However, the cost of upgrading will vary based on the type of potion you want to upgrade, as well as on the item's Mark Level as well as its rarity.
To upgrade a potion to the next level, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open an GUI which allows you to select the potion you wish to upgrade, and the amount of experience they will give you when upgraded. The upgrade of potions can be completed in batches of up to five at a time, and the XP that they generate will be added to your current XP total.
Once a potion has been upgraded, it will not degrade until you re-use it, or break the bottle it's stored in. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking it in your inventory.
Version 1.7.2 brought a few changes to the way potions are used. For example, splash potions now have an average duration of 0:08 (this is not the same as the 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display of the item). item upgrades for potion is now crafted from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players playing Survival and Bedrock. In contrast to the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions can't be mixed in cauldrons. The same applies to using a potion within the cauldron that is filled. This will draw out the potion and refill the bottle.
Finally, there are lingering potions, which are made with dragon breath and splash potions. Similar to lingering potions, the effect can be extended by adding redstone. The table of potion ingredients has been rearranged to appear more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added, for instance, the potion of leaping and decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket is a small and inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It could be a reference to an object or ornament that serves a purpose, but is not particularly important, such as a trinket. In certain cultures, trinkets are used to symbolize friendship or affection, especially between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. These can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Trinkets like other items that can be upgraded can be traded at will without losing statistics.
The upgrade vendors are found in major cities and in the capital of each zone, and in in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with gold, tokens or fragments of a rare trinket.

The upgrade of a trinket can be a cost-effective alternative to purchasing an entirely new one. A player can upgrade their trinket for as little 12 tokens. The new trinket comes with the same level of base as the previous trinket however, it will also come with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.
When the old Trinkets are no longer usable, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase both their power and value with time. They can be traded between players which makes them a good alternative to gold.
In general players should upgrade their highest priority items first. item upgrade means that the top-in slot items for each class are first upgraded before their secondary gear and other pieces of equipment that won't be replacing anytime soon (such as an earring or a cloak). When choosing which items to upgrade, players must also consider the class's preferred stats. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for tank players then they should consider upgrading their helm, chest and shoulders.
Trinkets can be re-upgraded to a higher level once they no longer have value, and the new trinket will have an additional upgrade bonus of 1. However, a re-upgrade will ruin the previous trinket, unless it is saved using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an alternative salvage tool that is higher-end. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still less expensive than buying an entirely new trinket.
